Money makes the world go round, right?
Whether we like to admit it or not, it can have a big impact on all our lives – affecting where we live, what we have, and the things we do, and it can cause us to feel happiness, stress, and every emotion in between. Yet despite this, there’s still a rather big taboo around people talking about their finances.
We think it’s time this changed.
In fact, talking about money with your children when they’re young could help them to build healthy attitudes towards saving that they can carry with them into adulthood – which may be a valuable life lesson with the price of living constantly increasing.
What is Talk Money Week?
Talk Money Week is a national initiative that aims to get people talking about exactly that subject – money! Each year, this initiative encourages individuals to open up about their finances to improve their physical, mental, and financial wellbeing, whether this is in their workplace, in education, or at home with their loved ones.
And during Talk Money Week 2021, the Wealthify team were inspired to do just that.
Watch the video below to get an insight into the team’s personal relationships with their finances – from who is a spender or a saver to what the best money advice they’ve received is.
Please note that the below video was filmed before COVID-19 guidelines in Wales changed to advise employees to work from home if possible. The Wealthify team followed all COVID-19 regulations that were in place during the time of filming.
