Part of our ambitious innovation strategy, this is a newly created role where you’ll get to work across a wide range of exciting web and app projects including:
Initially, you’ll be based in the Marketing team working closely with Design and CX specialists to deliver specific projects within an agile planning environment. You will also collaborate with the in-house Development team, helping to bridge the gap between Design and Development.
As part of a small but growing team, the desire to aim high and work hard is essential, as is having fun along the way.
Things you’ll be working on
Drawing on your experience and knowledge of UX best practice and technology trends, you’ll be scoping, designing and wireframing/prototyping new journeys or optimising existing journeys for our app and responsive website.
You’ll collaborate effectively with the Marketing team and wider business, confidently communicating ideas and presenting clearly to peers and the senior management team.
Working within brand guidelines, you’ll be responsible for making things look great, as well as ensuring everything works simply and intuitively for the customer.
You’ll be working closely with the CX specialist to conduct user research and test prototypes, iterating designs to optimise the customer experience.
Things you’ll need
Experience and success working in a similar role where you’ve been immersed in all areas of UX and visual design.
A genuine passion for creating industry-leading, user-centred designs.
Extensive experience in journey development, wireframing, user research, prototyping and testing.
Experience working within a start-up would also be ideal and you'll be working across both mobile and web.
Qualifications or skills you will need
Highly proficient with industry standard design and prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Axure, Marvel etc.).
Experience/ qualifications in user-centred design methods and techniques.
Ability to develop and present concepts and collate/synthesis feedback for iterating designs.
Experience using A/B or MVT tools e.g. Google Optimise.
Familiarity with usability tools such as Decibel Insight/Hotjar/Crazy Egg.
Good time management to ensure project delivery.
Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment (not essential).
Experience of working on financial products and services (desirable, not essential).
