What your job will be 

Our new Management Accountant will be key in supporting the Company Accountant and wider Finance Team, playing a pivotal role in providing support to manage daily operations and month-end activities of the business and to ensure accurate and timely financial reports are delivered to the Senior Management team.  

Their primary role is to manage key areas of the financial systems and processes to ensure financial information is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting requirements and company expectations. 

Key outcomes:

  • Monthly Reporting
    Working with the Company Accountant to prepare the full suite of monthly financial reports for the firm, reporting on all material variances. Also, provide ideas for improvement of the Management Information in the monthly packs.  
  • Accounts Management
    Assisting the Company Accountant with regular reconciliations and Accounts Payable/Receivable control. Regular review of any variances and resolution of supplier queries.  
  • Customer Payments
    Responsible for payments to customers and regular liaison with the Customer Care Team to resolve queries from clients on a timely basis.  
  • Continuous Improvement
    Review and continuous improvement of Wealthify accounting and MI systems to ensure that the business is getting the most out of the internal systems. 
  • Ad hoc
    Finance projects, including expense reporting, tax matters (including R&D tax submissions), Payroll, and any other ad-hoc reporting requirements.

  • Financial or Management Accountant with experience in managing the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reporting. 
  • Newly qualified or soon-to-be qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deliverables. 
  • Proactive stakeholder management skills 
  • Highly numerate and good commercial knowledge/awareness 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Prioritisation capabilities against concurrent deadlines

  • Comfortable with change and working in a growth and fast-paced environment 
  • Hunger to learn, apply skills, and grow within the organization 
  • Excellent systems skills, Wealthify systems are (PowerBi, Sage and Xero)
  • Some payroll experience, ideally within Xero

Due to the pandemic, we are all currently working from home, and all interviews will be carried out remotely. Our offices have recently been refurbished to allow for collaborative working once we can return, although there is scope for remote working where the role and team deliveries allow.
