We’ve recently partnered with Aviva, and whilst remaining independent, Wealthify is now being offered to their millions of UK customers.

Although predominantly a D2C proposition, we have a sophisticated suite of APIs and white label capabilities and are looking to expand our customer acquisition through partnership opportunities.


The role
Reporting to the CEO, Wealthify are looking for a Head of Business Development to drive growth and lead the company’s generation activities across both new and existing customers.

The role will operate at both a strategic level to shape and realise the vision for business development, whilst being hands on directly engaging prospective customers and generating business. 

This will involve identifying and targeting partnership opportunities including, but not limited to: Banks and building societies, workplace opportunities, IFAs and Fintech companies. It’s a pivotal role for Wealthify as we seek to leverage our existing pipeline of opportunities and open more doors.

The role will involve a good amount of travelling and remote working. We will consider candidates not based in South Wales, though you will need to spend time with the team in Cardiff.

You should be able to work 37.5 hours per week, on a flexible basis. The role may require you to work long days occasionally when travelling to visit partners and occasionally overseas.


Things you’ll be working on
Core duties will include:

  • Leading business development strategy to acquire clients efficiently and in a scalable way.
  • Targeting and winning profitable partnerships in the UK that bring more retail clients to Wealthify.
  • Tender preparation
  • Negotiating commercial and legal terms
  • Account managing current partnerships and developing business volumes
  • Internal reporting on performance of partnerships
  • Working to develop opportunities within our shareholder Aviva.
  • Ensuring compliance and security procedures are followed
  • In the future, recruiting and training additional team members (as necessary)

Optionally the role could include leading on our international expansion by researching and developing overseas market opportunities.

  • Communicate, influence and negotiate at a senior level
  • Build relationships with partners and prospects
  • Identify, lead and manage groups of stakeholders
  • Present clearly
  • Use social media channels, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, for business development opportunities.

  • Experience or qualifications working in the investment industry


What qualifications or skills will I need?

  • Minimum of 3 A-Levels (or equivalent)
  • Sound knowledge of the UK financial services market
